Senior Biostatistician Job Description
Job Summary:
We seek a skilled Senior Biostatistician to lead statistical work on clinical trials, collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have expertise in statistical analysis, pharmacokinetics, and data exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement statistical models for trial/experimental designs
- Develop and maintain sound working relationships within the Clinical Trial Team and Biostatistics & Pharmacometrics team
- Collaborate with other line functions to ensure functional alignment and effective communication
- Represent Novartis in statistical discussions at external congresses, conferences, scientific meetings
Requirements:
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Statistics or equivalent field
- At least 7+ years of relevant experience in biostatistics or equivalent field
- Fluent English (oral and written) with good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain statistical designs and concepts to non-statisticians
- Proficiency in use of statistical software packages (e.g. SAS, R)
- Good knowledge of drug development and Health Authority guidelines
