Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Specialist

Join a dynamic team as a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist, providing deep expertise in mechanical engineering to support project delivery and operations. This role is part of the discipline engineering team responsible for providing technical solutions to complex mechanical equipment-related issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and experience in engineering, maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment, including reliability, obsolescence, and equipment lifecycle management in oil & gas processing facilities.

  • Collaborate with site projects teams and engineering contractors to deliver high-quality mechanical engineering scopes, including front-end loading (FEL) and detailed engineering.
  • Provide technical oversight, review, and guidance on design engineering and construction contractor deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to determine risks to project delivery and develop effective risk mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to the preparation of factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) plans, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance overall performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Engineer or registered professional engineer preferred.
  • 8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industries, with at least 5 years of engineering work in capital projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in piping design, pipe stress calculations, specification, purchase, and installation of static equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals across levels.
  • Track record of improving safety and reliability at an industrial facility, preferably oil/gas/petrochemical processing through engagement and influence.
