Job Overview
  1. We are seeking a skilled Product Development Engineer to collaborate with suppliers to source and develop components in mechanical, electronics, mechatronics or electric vehicle sectors.
  2. The ideal candidate will contribute to our growing portfolio with a focus on future-ready mobility solutions.
  3. This role involves working on high-integrity designs while optimizing cost, manufacturability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will design & prototype wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in gathering insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development.
  • The successful candidate will engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures (FEA validation).
  • They will integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design.
  • Collaboration with vendors for precision fabrication and quality delivery is essential.
  • Testing for durability, safety, and compliance will be conducted.
  • Ongoing optimization of materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance is required.
  • Accurate documentation of product specifications, changes, and manufacturing processes must be maintained.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2–4 years' experience in product development (mobility, automotive, or structural products) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) is essential.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping is necessary.
  • Exposure to EV/mechatronic systems is an advantage.
