Oncology Prior Authorisation Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage electronic prior authorisations (ePAs) and ensure timely and accurate processing of oncology-related prescriptions.

About the Job

  • This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience in prior authorization processing, particularly in oncology medication access.
  • You will be responsible for managing ePAs through CoverMyMeds, focusing on oncology medications.
  • Your key responsibilities include reviewing clinical documentation, collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies, and educating prescribers' offices on processes and payer requirements.
  • You will also be required to stay up-to-date on oncology drug access pathways, insurance policies, and payer-specific rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare, pharmacy, or life sciences.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience using CoverMyMeds, specifically in prior authorization processing.
  • Strong background in oncology medication access, reimbursement, or patient services.
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations and payer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with oncology patient support programs.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, appeals, and reimbursement landscape.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
