Database Infrastructure Professional

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced database professional to manage our database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure database servers.
  • Monitor database performance using tools such as Performance Monitor and Extended Events.
  • Expertise in indexing, statistics, and database maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement database capacity upgrades and scaling to meet growing business needs.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and roles, and implement audit processes and compliance requirements.
  • Review and optimize database code, providing guidance to developers on query tuning and optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 9 years of experience in MS SQL Server Database administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture and performance tuning techniques.
  • Strong T-SQL skills for query optimizations and performance.
  • Experience with at least SQL Server versions from SQL Server 2022/2019/2016/2014.
  • Knowledge of Windows Failover Cluster Server and SQL Server AlwaysOn.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certification on MS SQL Server Administration.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of additional DBMS products like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Experience in SSIS/SSRS/SSAS.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell/Python.
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence.
