Hotel Engineer Job Description

The Hotel Engineer is responsible for maintaining the overall maintenance of the hotel, including the upkeep of tools and equipment.

  1. Guest Repair Requests: Respond to and attend to guest repair requests in a timely manner.
  2. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines as needed.
  3. Inventory Management: Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
  4. Communication: Communicate each day's activities and problems that occur to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting is preferred.
  • License or Certification: Driver's License is required.

This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repairs.
