Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a DB2 Database Administrator. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high availability, data integrity, and compliance across enterprise-level, mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and manage DB2 subsystems, buffer pools, and storage groups.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor and optimize database and SQL query performance, analyze workloads, indexing strategies, and adjust system parameters for efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with DB2 for z/OS (v10–v12), proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM, DB2 utilities, familiarity with SMP/E, RACF, IBM MQ for z/OS, IMS, and CICS connectivity with DB2.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in DB2 administration on z/OS, proven expertise in performance tuning, disaster recovery, and automation.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, ability to work independently in a hybrid setup.
