About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Automation Expert to join our team at Orcapod. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure software quality and deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automated Test Development

You will develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Python to ensure software quality and reliability.

Test Planning and Framework Design

Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test frameworks for functional and regression testing to identify defects and drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Defect Identification and Tracking

Identify, document, and track software defects in a bug-tracking system to facilitate timely resolution and prevent reoccurrence.

Test Environment Setup and Maintenance

Ensure test environments are set up and maintained properly to support efficient testing and reduce costs.

Integration, System, and End-to-End Testing

Perform integration, system, and end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications to ensure seamless user experiences.

CI/CD Pipeline Improvements

Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements to integrate automated testing, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.

Test Result Analysis and Reporting

Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide feedback to the development team to inform product decisions.

Requirements and QualificationsRequired Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Software Testing and Automation

You must have extensive experience in software testing and automation, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

Selenium WebDriver and Python Proficiency

Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and Python for test automation is essential to ensure effective test script development and execution.

Strong Understanding of Software Testing Methodologies

You should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including Agile development and version control systems like Git.

Experience with API Testing and CI/CD Tools

Experience with API testing (using tools like Postman or REST Assured) and knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) are required to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

You must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze test results, identify defects, and develop effective solutions.

Strong Communication and Collaboration Abilities

Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Performance and Load Testing Tools

Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is desired to evaluate system performance under heavy loads.

Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Frameworks

Knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber or Behave is preferred to ensure effective test automation and collaboration.

Familiarity with Cloud Platforms

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desired to ensure scalable and secure testing environments.

Hands-on Experience with Mobile Application Testing

Hands-on experience with mobile application testing using tools like Appium is preferred to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

ISTQB or Equivalent Certification

ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is desirable to demonstrate expertise and commitment to professional growth.
