Job Title: Platform Software Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 15+ platform engineers in developing high-performance modular platforms.
  • Have good technical knowledge in networking/platform domain to lead the team and manage resource requirements (proto, hardware, software, headcount).
  • Work on projects starting from conception, design, development, and productization of hardware and software for network platforms.
  • Manage project schedule for delivering complex cross-functional projects and be responsible for timely delivery of projects.
  • Champion quality within and outside the team.
  • Interact with vendors on need basis.
  • Lead the team in case of customer escalations and manage customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • Hold a BS/MS degree and have 14+ years of work experience with at least 5 years of experience in networking area.
  • Experience in developing high-performance modular platforms is highly desirable.
  • 5+ years of experience leading/managing high-performance teams.
  • Development experience on networking products.
  • Good understanding of hardware-level details for Optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, Flash Driver.
  • Proficiency with device drivers, system bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux internals.
  • Understanding of Ethernet, OTN, SONET technologies.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong in C, C++ programming, OO analysis & design, data structures, and system debugging skills.
