Test Architect Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing software systems, with a strong background in automation testing. They will be responsible for developing technical test designs, standardizing test environments, and supporting effort estimation for new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop technical test designs for overall/project levels.
  • Standardize/improve the test environment used.
  • Support effort estimation for new technologies in the project.
  • Risk assessment and provide mitigation plans for tests.
  • Involved in product/SW design reviews and collaborate with S/W architects and teams.
  • Communicate and present to customers according to their technical expectations.
  • Review test automation frameworks and functional test designs.
  • Perform functional tests, review, and analyze test results.
  • Create and coach new test methodologies/techniques for project teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in testing automotive clusters/infotainment systems, preferably with automation testing.
  • In-depth knowledge of test techniques, methodologies, software testing standards, and system know-how.
  • Automotive protocols such as CAN, UDS, etc.
  • Practical experience using test tools: instrumentation for measurement and control (e.g., oscilloscope, power supply).
  • Knowledge of tools such as CANoe, DOORs, and JIRA.
  • Practical programming experience (programming languages used for test automation): CAPL, Python.
  • Good planning, coordination, and communication skills.
