AS400 Developer Role

About the Job:

  • We are seeking an experienced AS400 developer to fill this position.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IBM AS400 iSeries platform and RPGLE programming.
  • This role requires expertise in Integrated Language Environment (ILE), Creating and debugging RPG/CL programs, and knowledge of SEU, PDM, DFU, and Spool files.
  • The successful candidate will also have experience with iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS).
  • Bonus skills include Web Services, XML, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • A team player is required to handle client requirements, create design documents, and work closely with clients.
  • This role involves mentoring junior developers and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining large-scale applications on the AS400 platform
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Mentoring junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Ensuring timely and successful project delivery

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in RPGLE programming and AS400 development
  • Expertise in ILE, SEU, PDM, DFU, and Spool files
  • Familiarity with iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS)
  • Good understanding of Web Services, XML, HTML, and JavaScript
