Job Overview:

The Marine Operations Associate is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position plays a crucial part in the scheduling and execution of voyages.

This dynamic associate will manage documentation, liaise with clients, and support the team in achieving operational efficiency by streamlining processes and improving communication channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze daily noon reports/position reports to coordinate effectively with vessel masters
  • Collect and verify cargo documents from vessels at load/discharge ports
  • Evaluate and assess vessel performance in charterers' formats
  • Prepare freight invoices and demurrage claims, following up with charterers for timely payment
  • Ensure deck and engine logs are sent to charterers within stipulated time frames
  • Raise monthly charter hire, freight, bunker reimbursement, and demurrage invoices to charterers and brokers
  • Collaborate with the Vessel Operation Superintendent to ensure smooth vessel operation
  • Select, appoint, and approve agents' PDA and FDA

Requirements: A Mechanical Engineering graduate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
