Role Overview:

This pivotal role ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of our trading platforms and infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain resilient systems that meet demanding trading environment needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • System and Infrastructure Reliability:
    • Evaluate system reliability and availability for trading platforms, order management systems, and critical infrastructure used in trading operations.
    • Ongoing optimization of system performance to ensure low-latency trading and fast order execution.
  • Fault Tolerance and Resilience:
    • Develop fault-tolerant architectures and systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous availability of trading services.
    • Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to guarantee business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response:
    • Establish monitoring solutions to detect anomalies, performance degradation, and system failures.
    • Rapid response to incidents to minimize their impact on trading operations.
  • Deployment and Release Management:
    • Manage deployment pipelines and release processes for trading systems, ensuring smooth deployments with minimal disruption to trading operations.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement security best practices and compliance measures to safeguard trading systems and customer data from unauthorized access.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements imposed by SEBI and other regulatory bodies.
  • Automation and Tooling:
    • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention in trading operations.
  • Capacity Planning:
    • Monitor trading volumes and system usage to forecast capacity requirements and plan for scaling infrastructure to handle peak trading loads.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and best practices.
    • Share knowledge and collaborate with other teams to enhance overall system reliability and operational efficiency.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ Years of experience in similar role, preferably in financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
