Remote VFX Mentor



Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a strong background in Hollywood film productions to join our team as a VFX Mentor. In this role, you will provide guidance and support to our artists, particularly in the field of VFX.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing Houdini software training for film and advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  2. Teaching RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  3. Helping artists develop their skills through effective and efficient teaching methods.
  4. Assisting with integration from Houdini to Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Strong knowledge of overall VFX workflow and understanding of production process.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles (Nuke preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Blender workflow is a plus.
  • Portfolio demonstrating excellent skills and creative approach.
  • Solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.
