Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of business subject areas to document current end-to-end data flow diagrams.
  • Re-architect data ingestion processes into relevant applications, collaborating with Data Integration Engineers and Business Owners to standardize B2B and B2C data exchange formats.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data standards and best practices for data governance, data management, and data quality.
  • Catalog, define, secure, and measure organizational data and information assets in collaboration with the Data Governance Organization team.
  • Provide technical guidance on security, privacy, data management, and regulatory compliance around data assets.

What You Will Achieve

This role involves creating, maintaining, and communicating conceptual and logical enterprise data models and data flow diagrams. The Senior Data Modeler will provide guidance on software and process modifications to improve controls and simplify master data management.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data models that meet their needs.
  • Documenting and maintaining data governance policies and procedures.
  • Providing training and support to architects, analysts, and stewards on data governance best practices.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data governance and management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling and governance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data flow diagrams.
  • Experience working with data integration tools and technologies.
