Financial Strategist

About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transaction advisory and experience working with start-ups and high-growth companies.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis, valuations, and due diligence projects. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic financial partner to start-ups, overseeing budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow, and investor communications.
  • Build financial discipline and governance frameworks tailored for scaling businesses.
  • Support valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects including financial health checks, revenue/margin analysis, working capital assessments, and historical reviews.
  • Provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions, including cross-border setups, holding structures, and exits.
  • Manage multiple client engagements with professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

  • CA with 4–6 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory at a mid-tier boutique advisory or in a start-up finance team with exposure to FP&A and fundraise projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles.
  • Proven track record in client servicing and team management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
