The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance/reinsurance accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, Visio, and Alteryx.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Execute and track project plans, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
- Liaison between Users and Development Teams: Resolve issues and prioritize system enhancements.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Validate system performance and data accuracy.
- Financial Close Processes: Troubleshoot system-related issues and ensure data integrity.
- Documentation and Training: Create and update process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in system usability, efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to transformation initiatives as directed by leadership.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project execution or management within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Familiarity with reinsurance finance and operational processes is highly preferred.
You should possess:
- Strong knowledge of insurance/reinsurance accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Power BI, Smartsheet, Visio, and Alteryx.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and adapt to a flexible, fast-paced environment.
- A transformation mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo and innovate.
