Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

This role requires a detail-oriented professional to manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Invoicing and Payment Processing: Verify and process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Expense Analysis: Monitor accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including expense summaries and aging reports.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Data Management: Ensure accuracy of financial data by maintaining and updating the accounts payable ledger.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • QuickBooks experience.
  • Knowledge of Canadian taxes – HST, PST, PD7A, ROE.
  • Experience with Canadian Full-time employees – Federal Tax, Provincial Tax, CPP, EI.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial transactions and records.
