Manufacturing Transformation Engineer

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of Ignition SCADA and MES applications in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications to drive business value in manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems with enterprise IT systems for efficient data exchange.
  • Manage industrial databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives such as Industry 4.0 and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADAMES deployments to minimize downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

With over 410 years of combined experience in SCADAMES engineering within the manufacturing industry, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA Inductive Automation including scripting module configuration and project deployment

• Strong background in MES functions production tracking OEE downtime analysis traceability SPC etc.

• Proficiency with database technologies SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or equivalent

• Hands-on experience with OTIT integration technologies REST APIs for system interconnectivity MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication OPC UA for industrial interoperability

• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems PLC SCADA HMIs and plant floor connectivity

• Familiarity with manufacturing standards ISA95 ISA88 ISA99 IEC 62443

• Excellent problem-solving communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms Azure IoT AWS IoT etc.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments

• Familiarity with containerization Docker Kubernetes for SCADAMES deployments

• Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects

• Certifications Ignition Gold Certified Specialist OPC UA or relevant industrial ITOT certifications
