Sustainability Executive for Luxury Real Estate

Job Description:

The Sustainability Executive will lead the implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives in construction, focusing on luxury real estate projects. This role involves driving the company's integration of sustainable practices, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility without compromising quality and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the company's construction projects, with a focus on reducing environmental impact.
  • Drive the integration of sustainable building practices, materials, and technologies in all current and future projects, aligning with the luxury real estate market.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure that sustainability goals are met and that the company stays up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and certifications in sustainable construction.
  • Identify and evaluate sustainable materials and technologies that align with the luxury real estate market, driving initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects, including waste management, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
  • Monitor and report on the company's sustainability performance, setting benchmarks and KPIs to measure success.
  • Engage with external partners, such as environmental consultants, government bodies, and industry associations, to enhance sustainability efforts and promote a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on sustainable practices, advocating for sustainability within the company and promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Sustainable/Environmental Architecture, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in sustainable construction, green building, or environmental management, preferably within the luxury real estate sector.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable building certifications (e.g., IGBC, GRIHA, LEED, BREEAM) and environmental regulations.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful sustainability initiatives in construction projects, demonstrating excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, possessing a passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in sustainable construction.
