About the Centre: The Motilal Oswal Centre for Capital Markets aims to foster education, research, training, and innovation in financial markets, fintech, quantitative finance, and investment management.

Job Opportunity:

  • The Programme Director will lead strategic, academic, and operational initiatives of the Centre.
  • They will be a dynamic, visionary leader with experience in academia, research management, or the financial services industry, capable of building interdisciplinary collaborations and driving impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
  1. Develop and execute the long-term vision and strategy of the Centre.
  2. Create programmes and initiatives aligned with the Centre's mandate in financial markets research and education.
Education and Research Programme Management
  1. Sustain research projects, working papers, and publications in financial markets and related areas.
  2. Support faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  3. Organise training programmes, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
Industry and Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Foster partnerships with financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  2. Organise seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
Operational Oversight
  1. Manage day-to-day administration of the Centre, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  2. Supervise support staff, interns, and research associates.
Communication and Outreach
  1. Maintain the Centre's visibility, including publications, newsletters, and website updates.
  2. Represent the Centre at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or a related discipline.
  • No less than 15 years of experience in academic and/or research institutions, regulatory bodies, financial services companies, industry associations, or relevant organisations.
  • A proven ability to manage academic and research programmes.
  • A good understanding of financial markets, fintech, or quantitative finance is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Experience with academic institutions or research centres.
  • A strong professional network in finance or policy domains.
  • Familiarity with grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement.
