Job Description

The Senior AI Technical Lead oversees the AI team, driving technical strategy and decision-making.

This role involves managing day-to-day AI delivery, responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient ML models.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the AI team, aligning with overall business objectives.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to AI engineers to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Contribute to AI architecture design and implementation, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business, engineering, infrastructure, and data science teams to translate their needs into production-grade Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, MLOps engineers, and machine learning engineers to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to process, scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Highlight risks and concerns to the leadership team and work with multiple stakeholders to establish alignment, contingency, and/or mitigation plans.
  • Proactively track delivery statuses and project progress, taking ownership of all deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 12 to 15 years of total experience, with at least 2 years of experience leading/managing AI projects.
  • Strong understanding of AI concepts & algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Familiarity with popular AI frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in AI or related fields.
  • Experience with specific cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Leadership experience in previous roles.
