Memory Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Memory Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and architecting custom memory solutions using various technologies.

About the Role:

  • Design and architect custom memory solutions using various technologies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive design verification plans, covering both functional and physical verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the development of innovative memory solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Work closely with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of memory components into larger systems.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and debug of memory-related issues.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in full-custom memory design and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SRAM leafcell GDS from scratch to top-level integration.
  • Expertise in working on memory layout design for advanced nodes (TSMC: 7nm/5nm/3nm).
  • Proficiency in physical verification flow debug tools like DRC, LVS, DFM, PERC, ERC, EM, IR.
  • Strong knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso layout editor and Caliber Physical Verification Flow.
  • Familiarity with Synopsys Custom Compiler is a plus.
  • Understanding of good layout practices in lower process nodes like 7nm and 5nm.
  • Experience working on FinFET architecture and addressing related challenges.

  • Layout optimization for yield enhancement and manufacturing robustness.
  • Debugging silicon failures and identifying layout-related issues.
  • Creating detailed and optimized physical layouts for memory cells, arrays, and peripheral circuits.
