3D Generalist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Generalist to join our team. A 3D Generalist is a versatile professional who excels in multiple areas of 3D content creation, including modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and compositing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Modeling: Create high-quality 3D models of characters, props, and environments using industry-standard software.
  • Texturing: Apply textures and materials to 3D models using Substance Painter, Mari, or Photoshop.
  • Lighting and Rendering: Set up lighting for scenes using Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, and render scenes using V-Ray, Arnold, or RenderMan.
  • Animation: Create animations for characters and objects, including rigging and skinning, and demonstrate an understanding of animation principles and techniques.
  • Compositing: Integrate 3D elements into live-action footage or create standalone visual effects shots using Nuke, Fusion, or After Effects.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the successful candidate will be able to handle miscellaneous tasks such as camera setup, scene layout, and basic scripting, and adapt to different production needs and contribute across multiple stages of the pipeline.

  • Demonstrated experience in creating high-quality 3D content.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
