Cloud Infrastructure SpecialistThis is a high-level technical position that involves planning, deploying, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team and take on this challenging role.The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in areas such as OpenStack, containerization, and orchestration. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deployment and Management: Plan, deploy, and manage OpenStack environments using Kolla-Ansible and TripleO.
  • Ceph Storage: Design, deploy, and maintain Ceph storage clusters for high availability and optimal performance.
  • Storage Management: Manage block storage (Cinder), file storage (Manila), and object storage (such as Ceph RGW/S3, Swift, or equivalent).
  • Resource Optimization: Maintain and optimize OpenStack control plane and compute resources for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Containerized Applications: Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Automation Scripts: Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Integration: Integrate OpenStack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Participate in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and application deployments.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Support: Support capacity planning, incident management, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: 7–10 years of hands-on OpenStack experience, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Kolla-Ansible Experience: Proven experience deploying OpenStack using Kolla-Ansible (container-based deployment) and TripleO (bare-metal deployment).
  • Containerization: Relevant 3–5 years of experience with containerization technologies, primarily Docker.
  • Kubernetes/OpenShift: Relevant 2–3 years of experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift administration.
  • Ceph Storage: Proficiency in Ceph storage setup and management for block, file, and object storage (S3, Swift, or equivalent).
  • Ansible Automation: Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
  • Linux Systems Administration: Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (preferably RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
  • Networking Concepts: Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments (VLANs, VXLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Git Development: Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • RHCE Certified: RHCE certified.
Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Cloud Security Best Practices: Understanding of cloud security best practices.
Education:
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
