Senior SQL Server Database Administrator Role

As a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator, you will oversee the management and administration of SQL Server databases on-premises and in Azure. This role requires strong expertise in Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee Azure SQL Subscription services to meet business needs.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring to maintain optimal database health.
  • Configure and maintain disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and monitor security policies, access controls, and compliance standards to ensure data integrity.
  • Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Work with development and DevOps teams to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and database lifecycle management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to address database health and capacity concerns proactively.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with strong expertise in Azure SQL Server and Azure SQL Subscription management.
  • Deep knowledge of T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations.
  • Proven experience with migration projects from on-premises SQL Server to Azure.
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation.
  • Understanding of licensing and cost management for Azure SQL resources.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
