Network Infrastructure Leadership Opportunity

The ideal candidate will oversee the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure ensuring continuous and secure flow of data between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure ensuring high availability, low latency, redundancy, and security.
  2. Collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with operational needs of continuous production processes.
  3. Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points ensuring optimal performance and security.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance identifying potential bottlenecks and ensuring minimal downtime.
  5. Plan and execute network upgrades expansions and modernization initiatives including security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions like Private 5G Wi-Fi 6.
  6. Ensure network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  7. Implement and enforce network security policies and controls in alignment with organizational standards.
  8. Manage relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery implementation and support for network hardware and services.
  9. Develop redundancy strategies to prevent network failures and ensure continuous availability of production data.
  10. Oversee documentation and compliance with network management standards and protocols ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Proficient in designing and managing large-scale production network deployment including routers switches firewalls and wireless solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network security practices and protocols including VPN intrusion detection and VLAN management.
  • Experience in implementing OT/IT network integration and proficient in managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure with experience in optimizing systems for large-scale industrial use.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions in a time-sensitive production environment.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvements in network performance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills with ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Network Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing production floor network infrastructure in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network equipment like Cisco Juniper and network monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience in leading network architecture projects and managing security protocols.
