Business Analyst - Capital Markets

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the functional aspects of projects centered on back office and settlement of bonds from inception to delivery.

You will analyze business requirements and user requirements, propose cost-efficient solutions, gather and validate user requirements, write functional specifications, support IT during development, identify dependencies, coordinate with other teams, report on progress, write and execute test plans, organize UAT phases, train users, and deliver user guides.

In addition, you will contribute towards innovation, suggest new technical practices, and contribute towards initiatives to improve processes and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all functional aspects of projects centered on back office and settlement of bonds from inception to delivery.
  • Analyze business requirements / user requirements.
  • Propose cost-efficient solutions to users.
  • Gather and validate user requirements.
  • Write functional specifications and support IT during development.
  • Identify dependencies and coordinate with other teams when required.
  • Report on progress within and outside the team.
  • Write and execute test plans.
  • Organize UAT phases.
  • Train users.
  • Deliver user guides.
  • Liaise with IT, users, project sponsors, other project managers, and business analysts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of BA working experience on capital markets and confirmation/settlements systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Intermediate level SQL skills.
  • Coordination/project management in structured frameworks.
  • Strong writing skills and familiarity with Excel.
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in business analysis or operations with demonstrable practical product lifecycle exposure.
  • Experience in working within an environment with high pressure on timeliness and quality of deliveries.
  • A strong level of autonomy, proactiveness, and curiosity.
