Billing and Settlement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing and Settlement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payments domain, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements for payment platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze functional requirements for payment platforms.
  • Collaborate with product owners and domain SMEs to define workflows and user stories.
  • Lead workshops, event-storming, and sprint grooming sessions.
  • Translate regulatory and business rules into implementable stories across payment lifecycle modules.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of account-to-account payment flows.
  • Knowledge of clearing/settlement processes and exception handling.
  • Experience working with payment hubs, onboarding systems, or banking platforms.
  • Hands-on with Jira, Confluence, Task management tools.
  • Writing user stories, BRDs, FRDs with traceability.
  • Familiarity with API specifications and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices – grooming, prioritization, backlog management.
Become an Expert:
  • Achieve mastery in ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, CHAPS, FPS, FedNow payment flows.
  • Develop expertise in NACHA, ISO 20022, PSD2 regulations.
