Linux Software Repository Maintainer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Linux software repository maintainer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to work on the integrity of our software repository, ensuring timely updates, upgrades, and patches.

  • Maintaining software dependencies is crucial for the stability and security of our system. Our ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in Linux, bash scripting, C, and Python programming languages.
  • Knowledge of build system tools like autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, etc.
  • Experience with compiling and creating software from source code, including knowledge of gcc and its flags.
  • Familiarity with CVS and Git version control systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.

A strong understanding of Slackware Linux is beneficial but not required. Fluency in English is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the team. We value diversity and welcome applications from talented individuals worldwide.
