Job Title: Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance Expert

A Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) expert plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing effective risk management systems for clients.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance practices. They should also have excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute client-specific initiatives to reduce technology risks, improve governance frameworks, and enhance compliance with policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate business and IT risks to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions.
  • Design and implement robust IT security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks and improve client security positioning through process improvements, policy automation, and continuous evolution of capabilities.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of information security threats and their impact on clients' IT environments.
  • Support senior team members in analyzing requirements and designing clients' information security postures, as well as Legal, Regulatory, and Scheme security requirements.
  • Deliver work streams for clients in compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, EU GDPR, and Bahrain PDPL, and incident management disciplines.
  • Perform and investigate internal and external information security risk and exception assessments.
  • Document and report control failures and gaps to stakeholders, providing remediation guidance and preparing management reports to track remediation activities.
  • Stay current on best practices and technological advancements, serving as a technical resource for security assessment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, ITIL, ITSM, and COBIT standards preferred.
  • Experience with risk management principles and associated methodologies.
  • Ideal candidates hold CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CISM qualifications.
  • Proven ability to make sound pragmatic decisions and judgments under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
