Job Title:
Design Engineer - Mechanical ProductsAs a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical products from concept to production. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the required specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the product design process of new projects, ensuring that products meet the required specifications and standards.
- Participate in the selection of materials and design optimization activities.
- Lead 3D modeling and 2D drafting activities using Creo and AutoCAD software.
- Work with PLM systems (e.g., Enovia, SAP) for design release and change management.
- Assist in the development of test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and contribute to root cause investigations and corrective actions for failures.
- Optimize designs using DFSS tools and methods deployment.
- Participate in DFM reviews with plant teams to ensure product readiness for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely project deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in design and development of electrical and mechanical products.
Skills:
- Hands-on experience with K electro-mechanical products such as MCBs and load centers.
- Experience with product design, value analysis, and cost reduction.
- Proficient in Creo and AutoCAD software, with expertise in sheet metal and plastic drafting.
- Knowledge of UL 489 and NEC standards.
- Hands-on experience with Enovia PLM ECO processes.
- Knowledge of product and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
