Maths Teacher Job Description

A highly motivated and experienced maths teacher is required to design and deliver assessments aligned with MYP assessment criteria and DP subject guides for our IB programmes.

  • The ideal candidate will support students through the MYP and DP Internal Assessments, ensuring authenticity and academic integrity. We value a team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues and staff members to maintain comprehensive records and contribute to formal reporting cycles, PTMs, and student progress reviews.

We are seeking an educator who can implement differentiated instruction tailored to diverse language proficiencies, learning profiles, and support needs. Providing academic scaffolding for emergent language learners and extension for advanced students is essential in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • Our Maths teacher will also stay updated with developments in language acquisition and IB pedagogy through workshops, conferences, and MyIB resources, ensuring best practices in teaching and learning.

Active participation in subject group meetings and contributing to the school's learning culture is expected. Preferred qualifications include completion of IB-recognized Category 1/2 workshops in MYP Language Acquisition and/or DP Language B.

Upholding IB and school policies related to academic integrity, inclusion, assessment, and teaching practices is vital. Ensuring proper documentation for students requiring inclusive access arrangements is necessary.

Assisting with CAS, TOK, or SAA supervision as needed is also part of the role.
