Job Title: Software Lead Engineer

About the Role:

The Software Lead Engineer will lead software development and configuration in manufacturing execution system (MES) projects. This role requires a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and testing of MES solutions for MES projects based on Syncade technology.
  • Design, implement, and test a full stack of MES technologies, including ASP.Net, C#, MVC, SQL, VB Script, and VB.Net, on life sciences projects.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, customers/users, conduct workshops to gather and analyze requirements, define functional requirements, and review software solutions.
  • Work with solution architects/SMEs to ensure that functional design and development aligns with user requirements, solution guidelines, and standards.
  • Develop webparts, batch reports, and integration with level 2, level 3, and level 4 systems, such as ERP integrations Oracle EBS, SAP, LIMS, CMMS, etc.
  • Create and maintain required documentation for the project execution.
  • Proactively manage communications within the team.
  • Plan and organize the work of a project team and report progress status.
  • Identify, support to manage risks, and ensures prompt resolution of issues and removing roadblocks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software development.
  • Full-life cycle implementation acting in key functional roles such as lead of an IT project.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and JIRA/Azure, etc.
  • Ability to lead:
    • C#, WCF, ASP.Net, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, VB.net
    • Web services response and requests
    • XML(Xpaths), UML XSLT,
    • Database: MS SQL Server
    • Tools: Visual Studio, VB editor, SQL profiler, SOAP UI tool, project tracking tools TFS/Jira, etc.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and approaches.
  • Persistence, self-motivation, follow-through, and commitment.
  • Great teammate who builds and maintains positive team member relations.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering Computers/Electronics/Instrumentation from a reputed university.
  • MSC Computers from reputed university or Masters in Computer Applications (MCA).
  • 6-8 years of solid work experience and having worked as software developer with experience as software lead.
  • Experience in MES (Syncade/Werum PASX/Rockwell Pharma Suite/Opcenter/Camstar, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Work experience in the life sciences industry is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Able to travel in India at customer sites and globally as needed.
