Job Title: Global Tax Manager

The Global Tax Lead will oversee complex tax regulations and drive strategic tax planning across all jurisdictions.

This role involves ensuring compliance with global tax laws, optimizing tax positions, and mitigating risks. The successful candidate will manage global tax compliance, planning, and strategy, while coordinating with external advisors and local finance teams to ensure compliance in various jurisdictions.

  • Tax Compliance:
    • Oversee global tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and other indirect taxes.
    • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and payments.
  • Tax Planning & Strategy:
    • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's global tax position.
    • Identify opportunities for tax savings and incentives across different countries.
  • Tax Accounting & Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate tax risks through robust controls and processes.
    • Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities, ensuring favorable outcomes.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of tax professionals.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with finance, legal, and business units to support global operations and initiatives.
    • Provide tax training and support to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications: CA/CS/CMA/ACCA/CFA/CPA, Law, or related field. Minimum 10 years international tax experience, with a mix of public accounting and corporate tax experience. Strong knowledge of global tax laws, regulations, and practices. Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Africa exposure is required.
