Job Title: Financial Transactions Coordinator

About the Role

This role plays a vital part in overseeing financial transactions, ensuring timely payment from customers. The specialist will work closely with accounting teams to achieve this goal.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for collecting outstanding debts, considering customer behavior and scenarios.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate actions such as sending reminders or making phone calls.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address billing and payment-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities, including customer interactions and payment arrangements.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare reports on overall collection status.
  • Implement and enforce credit policies and procedures to minimize risk of late payments or non-payment.
  • Partner with external agencies to handle complex cases.
  • Stay informed about laws and regulations related to debt collection practices and ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Possess professional certification like CA/CS.
  • Hold Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, with Master's desirable.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably supervisory or managerial role.
  • Well-versed in accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts receivable and collections.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with customers and stakeholders.
  • Apply analytical thinking to assess data and trends, developing effective collection strategies.
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools for managing accounts receivable essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing debt collection practices crucial.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations professionally and ethically.
