Key SCADA System Engineer Role

Job Overview:

We seek a skilled SCADA system engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement advanced SCADA systems for electric utility clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, test, and deploy SCADA systems with expertise in GE PowerOn Advantage/ADMS modules.
  • Develop business logic, alarms, telemetry points, and control actions to optimize system performance.
  • Automate data processing and system operations through the development of PL/SQL/Shell/Perl scripts.
  • Integrate systems with GIS, AMI, OMS, and enterprise systems to enhance data sharing and decision-making.
  • Implement and support FLISR, Volt/VAR Optimization, Load Forecasting, and Switching Plans to improve grid resilience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve real-time operational issues on SCADA/DMS platforms.
  • Provide training, documentation, and L2/L3 support to control room operators.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, utility clients, and external partners to deliver projects successfully.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA/ADMS/OMS engineering within the electric utility sector.
  • Hands-on experience with GE PowerOn (Advantage / Fusion / Control).
  • Proficiency in SCADA protocols (DNP3, IEC 101/104, Modbus).
  • Strong scripting ability in PL/SQL, Shell, Perl.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of distribution network modeling and GIS-to-ADMS mapping.
  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering
