Our company is seeking an experienced Wireless Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system testbeds using various networking devices and servers.
  • Validate the performance of 802.11 Wireless and proprietary features, including end-to-end client to cloud architecture testing.
  • Recreate customer issues in a lab environment and collaborate with engineering teams to drive resolution.
  • Conduct performance testing using iPerf tools.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to review customer report defects and enhance test coverage.
  • Create bugs in Jira and track them with the engineering team.
  • Escalate critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop technical documentation for engineering teams in Confluence.
  • Train and guide Level 1/2 Engineers on emerging wireless technologies.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Lead Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Wireless Engineering.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocol standards and their applications.
  • Hands-on experience in QA validation of Enterprise-grade Wireless Access Points.
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching concepts, including VLAN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Trunk/Native.
  • Experience validating IEEE802.1x feature using Freeradius or a standard RADIUS server.
  • In-depth knowledge of various 802.11 protocols, such as 802.11r/k/v.
  • Must have experience troubleshooting based on Wireless packet captures.
  • Passion for solving customer issues and advocating for their success in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess the technical aspects of a problem.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), scripting skills in Python, hands-on experience with ISE/ClearPass, basic knowledge of L2TPv3/IPsec.
