Senior Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments of existing bridges, preparing detailed reports with expertise in steel composite and prestressed structures.

  • Conduct feasibility studies for strengthening and repair.
  • Design new bridge structures and implement strengthening designs to meet UK standards, adhering to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform design and assessment checks under the guidance of senior engineers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare or assist in compiling drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within deadlines, ensuring compliance with project briefs.
  2. Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work.
  3. Ensure accurate implementation of document control and QA processes for issue and filing/archiving of work carried out.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working with MIDAS, LUSAS, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIE software.
  • Knowledge of British and European Standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
