Database Administrator Position

ThreatXIntel is a cybersecurity company offering customized, affordable security solutions. The company specializes in cloud security, web and mobile testing, and DevSecOps.

We seek a skilled Freelance PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in database architecture, high availability, and optimization. This is a long-term contract position, requiring deep knowledge of enterprise environments.

  • Install, configure, and maintain databases.
  • Perform advanced SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and schema design.
  • Manage upgrades, migrations, patching, and version control.
  • Implement replication, clustering, and failover solutions for high availability.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, integrity, and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and improve database architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Strong expertise with Cloud SQL and advanced SQL performance tuning.
  • Solid background in Oracle DBA.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
