Senior Healthcare Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and lead the development of various artificial intelligence initiatives to improve patient health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, Python programming, and machine learning techniques.
The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders and customers to understand their pain points and build large-scale solutions that drive business value. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and leading the development of AI initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data science capabilities into products and workflows
- Developing technical architecture to productize machine learning algorithms and take them to market through partnerships with various organizations
- Breaking down complex business problems into machine learning problems and designing solution workflows
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in data science, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming, including building enterprise applications
- Deep expertise in classical and modern machine learning techniques, including NLP and transformer architectures
- Experience with fine-tuning large language models using techniques like PEFT, LoRA, and QLoRA
- Proficiency in at least one deep learning framework, such as PyTorch or Hugging Face transformers
- Hands-on experience with a cloud-based ML platform, such as Databricks, Azure ML, or SageMaker
