Role Overview:

You will lead the hostel operations team, manage key vendors, and be the central point of contact for student and parent concerns.

You won't get into daily execution — you'll drive outcomes through your team, set standards, and ensure collaboration between departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and drive the overall hostel operations strategy from move-ins to daily services to escalations.

2. Lead a team of hostel managers, support staff, and vendor coordinators to ensure smooth, student-friendly operations.

3. Work closely with programme directors and parent affairs teams to align hostel policies with institutional goals.

4. Be the primary escalation point for student and parent concerns related to residential life.

5. Maintain proactive communication with parents in sensitive situations.

6. Build trust across stakeholders through consistent delivery and empathetic engagement.

7. Oversee all third-party vendors and partners involved in housekeeping, security, food, and maintenance.

8. Review and approve standard operating procedures, incident reports, safety checks, and compliance protocols.

9. Champion a positive residential culture — inclusive, respectful, and aligned with student well-being.

10. Design initiatives to gather feedback, address grievances efficiently, and improve the residential experience.

11. Collaborate with student councils or committees to foster a collaborative campus environment.

12. Present regular reports on hostel performance, grievances, service levels, and student satisfaction.

13. Track KPIs and use data-driven insights to improve processes and policies.

14. Maintain proper documentation and ensure regulatory compliance related to hostel facilities.
