Job Overview

We seek a Senior Research Associate to support policy research, data analysis, and economic strategy development for Madhya Pradesh's development agenda.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct applied research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues.
  • Analyze large datasets using econometric and statistical techniques to inform policy decisions.
  • Draft policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Engage with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders.
  • Contribute to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges.
  • Support project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building.
  • Collaborate with researchers to ensure high-quality outputs.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master's, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics (Stata/R/Python).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage research projects independently.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to adhere to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior work experience in state-level or applied policy research, especially in Madhya Pradesh.
