Job Summary

The Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator will oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), to ensure seamless availability and consistent performance for clients.

As a hands-on professional with solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms, ensuring operational readiness (security, health, and performance) for both on-premises and cloud-based Oracle environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous engagement with assigned client base
  • Development and maintenance of new customer transition plans
  • Ensure continuous communications in a consultative approach
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand)
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery
  • Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate)
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools
  • Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments
  • Participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews
  • Provide on-call support and participate in scheduled maintenance windows
