Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Job Description

The role of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer plays a pivotal part in setting up, configuring, and monitoring both on-premises and cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain medium to large-scale global enterprise network topologies using Microsoft virtualization technologies.
  • Maintain and deploy wireless networks for remote buildings and corporate offices.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure to support cloud migration and delivery of various technology solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure resources.
  • Support and manage Office 365 users, Hybrid Exchange Server Configuration, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Environments.
  • Manage Active Directory 2019 and newer, key services including DNS, DHCP, File Services, and Azure Solutions and Services.
  • Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune solutions leveraging Autopilot.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in supporting servers and operating systems Windows 2019 and above.
  • Understand Veeam or other Backup and Replication technologies, VLANs, IPSEC Tunnels, Virtual Networks, and Routing & Switching.

  • Active Directory Administration: AZURE AD & On-Premises + Entra ID, Asset Management: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager & System Center Operations Manager.
  • Endpoint Management: Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Windows Server Management & Hyper-V Clusters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar.
  • Proficiency in operating systems Windows Server and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security principles, and IT best practices.
  • Hands-on experience on O365 Administration & Backup Configurations & VM.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like Azure.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are desirable.

This position requires a team member with a solid understanding of Microsoft technologies and experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining complex network environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be proficient in communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and possess a collaborative approach to working within a dynamic team environment.
