Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working closely with senior management to develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and data analysis, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities will include managing General Ledger account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, treasury management, payroll accounting, and fixed assets accounting. Additionally, the candidate will plan and execute month-end close activities, monitor monthly deliveries of financial reports to the management team, and perform ratio analysis and logical reasoning to ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring GST, TDS, and other tax compliances, as well as overseeing work allocation matrices for completion of tasks within committed time frames. Furthermore, they will measure performance, prepare monthly KPI metrics, adhere to information security and control procedures, and conduct first-level appraisals for the team and advise on career paths within the organization.

Finally, the candidate will identify training requirements for the team and conduct sessions as needed, and provide frontend stakeholder calls to explain results vis-a-vis budgets and forecasts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of work experience in GL area
  • Possess excellent double-entry accounting knowledge
  • Good exposure to concepts in finance and accounting
  • Good knowledge in income tax, GST (MOOWR), statutory audit etc.,
  • Good command over English and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy
  • Effective team player with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Proven team management and leadership abilities
  • High degree of integrity and commitment to data confidentiality
