Business Valuation Expert

The Business Valuation Group is a specialized entity providing full-service business valuations, expert testimony in commercial and matrimonial disputes, and investigations of potential fraud and other suspicious practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Extract and map data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other relevant documents into valuation models and Excel-based tools to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, guideline public companies, and precedent transactions to provide comprehensive insights.
  • Analyze historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation, ensuring accuracy and precision in our findings.
  • Implement appropriate normalization adjustments to financial statements to ensure consistency and reliability in our analysis.
  • Assist in building and refining valuation models, performing adjustments, and applying quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language.
  • Prioritize projects and participate in scheduling meetings to ensure timely completion and effective communication.
  • Oversee all stages of the valuation project life cycle, apply appropriate valuation methodologies, reconcile value indications, and prepare and finalize the first draft of valuation reports, driving results-oriented outcomes.
  • Establish and manage high-performing teams, demonstrating strong leadership, team building, and people management capabilities to drive success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field to provide a solid foundation in business principles.
  • A business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA, or other advanced degree or certification to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum four years of experience in accounting or finance to provide a solid understanding of business operations and financial management.
