Data Engineering Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge data solutions in the cloud. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with analysts and stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that support our business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, including experience with PySpark, Python, SQL, and AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, and DynamoDB. You will also be proficient in Git version control and have excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop robust ETL pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to guarantee data quality and availability.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data transformation to support business growth.
  • Use Git for version control and code collaboration to drive team success.
  • Design and manage scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services to maximize storage capacity.
  • Work with Amazon DynamoDB and Redshift for high-performance data storage to meet business demands.
  • Create interactive dashboards using Amazon QuickSight to facilitate data-driven insights.
  • Automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability to drive business outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain data integrity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL to drive technical excellence.
  • Proficient in Git and AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem to expand skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling to drive business growth.
  • Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark to stay ahead in the industry.
  • AWS certifications in data engineering are highly valued to demonstrate expertise.
