Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned consultant to support a Capital Program Management project for a large conglomerate in India. The project focuses on supporting the client with expansion design and CAPEX cost reduction.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and enhancing project schedules for accuracy, facilitating planning and scheduling workshops, assisting in the implementation of digital solutions for managing large-scale projects, coordinating cross-functionally among various stakeholders, maintaining daily coordination with the PMC and subcontractors, and establishing a governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and enhancing project schedules for accuracy and ensuring they meet stakeholder expectations
  • Facilitating planning and scheduling workshops to ensure effective collaboration among team members
  • Assisting in the implementation of digital solutions for managing large-scale projects, including project management tools and software
  • Coordinating cross-functionally among various stakeholders, including the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), Design Team, and others
  • Maintaining daily coordination with the PMC and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution
  • Establishing a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing reports

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in managing large capex projects in Plant Construction across steel/power/metals/mining sectors
  • Project planning tools such as Primavera (mandatory)
  • Experience working with either an engineering/construction/steel firm or experience as a project management consultant for construction projects
  • A post-graduation degree from a top-tier university is mandatory

Working Arrangements

This is a contractual role with an initial duration of 9-12 months. The consultant will be required to work on-site in Mumbai/Delhi with travel to Kolkata as per the project requirement.
