Shift Operations Manager for Industrial Plants

As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical operations of a Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant during your shift, ensuring safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Supervision: Lead and direct a team of maintenance personnel, technicians, and helpers to execute their duties effectively.
- Risk Management: Implement and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, procedures, and environmental standards to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintenance Coordination: Plan and execute routine and corrective maintenance activities for all mechanical equipment, including belt conveyors, crushers, kilns, and handling systems.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve operational issues and mechanical problems to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Production Oversight: Monitor and optimize plant parameters to meet production targets, maintain quality, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Interdepartmental Liaison: Collaborate with other departments, such as process and utilities, to ensure seamless and integrated operations.
To excel in this role, you will require expertise in mechanical equipment, particularly in relation to DRI, along with skills in maintenance, problem-solving, leadership, coordination, and effective communication. A Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is typically required, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role in a heavy industry setting, preferably a DRI plant.
